Temitope Akinade
Temitope Akinade is a second-year medical student at VP&S. She studied Biomedical Engineering at Columbia for her undergraduate studies and graduated in 2019. Before starting medical school, she worked as a research assistant at the Guttmacher Institute and conducted social science research on topics related to sexual and reproductive health. She is passionate about research on health disparities and women’s health. At VP&S she is involved in the Black and Latino Students Organization and APOYO, a program that provides education and support for pregnant adolescents in the Washington Heights community. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, baking, and doing yoga.
