Madhav Nekkar

Madhav Nekkar is a second-year medical student at VP&S in the Columbia-Bassett track. He is originally from the Bay Area and went to undergrad at the University of California, Berkeley where he studied economics as a Regents’ and Chancellor’s Scholar. After graduating, he spent a year working in data science for global health at benshi.ai, a non-profit startup based in Barcelona. At Columbia, he is one of the referrals coordinators for CoSMO (a student-run primary care free clinic serving uninsured patients in the Washington Heights community) and is a member of the Dean’s Advisory Committee. Madhav is broadly interested in working at the intersection of clinical medicine, global health equity, and digital health.
